OK so I'm hooked, :yahoo:memories are a strong thing sometimes. After being on here I started thinking about the Mavericks that I have had in the past and just for kicks I brought it up to my wife because she is due for a new ride so if I say it is for her problem solved. I called on a 70, six cyl auto 4 lug and a 73 302 5 lug that needs a motor which I have several of. they both need paint and very minor body work but I will have to change the park bench hanging off the front of the 73 they call a bumper and get the rear bumper straightend and rechromed 70 is $1,200 obo and 73 is $800 obo. ROAD TRIPS tomorrow:dance:

Well it was a wash on the 73 but Wife and I are going to look at the 70 in the morning. Talked to the owner tonight and it sure does sound like the one to bring home but won't know until we look. Will let you all know tomorrow.:)

What a day, Trip not that long, only two hour drive:drive: up the mountain side and the at least a 1/2 hour trying to find the place. I have been in no-mans land before but this place was just the other side of the mountain form there. About 8,000 feet and following goat trails , stopping to ask directions and the neighbors didn't even know where the place was . One guy, who seemed to not want us to leave, talked forever, probably had not seen anyone for months finally had an idea about a drive across the main path, quote, "Back up the road a piece" that led to the discovery of a drive that seemed to go on for miles but it was the right idea for finally there it sat. This is what we came to see??? :hmmm: but it isn't anything like the add said. The driver that was advertised didn't look like it was ready to be driven :deadhorse but it is a pretty good parts car. And now for the trip home. It was freakin' great :bananaman:bananamancool mountain air, beautiful scenery and time alone with the wife to just talk about nothing, important that is. All was not loss when I put it all together. Nice cool, sunny day. moderate length road trip into the mountains with some real nice scenery and great company to share it with makes it a winner of a day:racingflag:
