    Hi, I am 18 years old and my Family just helped me buy my first new car. I bought a 1977 Mercury Comet with 27,000 original miles and I love it!!! I am trying to get as much info about her as I can. The car did not come with an owners manual so I need to find a way to locate one and I am trying to do a VIN check to get as much info on my car as possible to start showing in local car shows. I tried to get it from Edmonds but it keeps telling me that I need 17 characters and I don't have 17 characters in my VIN. I would appreciate any help or feedback I can get. Thank you!

    I don't think enmonds does reports for a car this old....carfax doesn't either.
