Stripped bolt on mirror

    hi i want to remove my mirror to paint my car. One of the 2 bolt between the mirror and the door are stripped. I tryed to push the bolt behind whit a piece of woods but its doest not work any idea ? thank

    I think the screw probably rusted to the tube nut, and the tube nut is just spinning in the hole. You might have to go inside the door a grab hold of the tube nut when you drill out the screw or the nut will just spin and you might wind up making the hole to large for the replacement nut.
