Read the paper this morning and saw car show in North Little Rock. Drove over and entered in the 68-78 stock (minor mods allowed) and got second. I've entered two so far and am batting .500 Winner was a great looking 70 red malibu. Didn't get a photo with mine in there but here's part of the field. Pretty fun getting a trophy so I'm kind of getting the "bug" to enter more often. By the way--------check out the cool rat-rods in the back row.
Good eyes spotting the 73 Maverick in the background. It's race-only. My racing lingo is just enough to remember he's got a 460 wedged in there with quite a bit of well-done engine bay fabricating. Stupid me should have taken extra batteries for the camera cause I got off about 4 shots before the idiot light on my camera came on. Said he regularly ran low 6's in 1/8th mile. He did me a favor and cranked it up----suh weeeet
Looks like a fun time. If your camera batteries run low, and the camera has a monitor on it, shut that monitor off if possible ... that is a huge battery drain. Just use the viewfinder (old school-style ... ). I shot about 70 pics at the Gatornational drags that way, with the camera claiming that the batteries were on fumes.
......Looks like a chevy in there....sad..... Said he regularly ran low 6's in 1/8th mile. He did me a favor and cranked it up----suh weeeet[/QUOTE]
