I'm hoping so... cause it would be nice as well to have a "Maverick" get a little lime light for once (so tired of the Mustangs, Camaros, Chevelles, GTOs, Challengers, Chargers, Cudas, 55-56-57 Chevys, etc. etc.). Seems like it's always the popular "status quo" models, be nice to see something "different" win.....
I put a vote in for you also. I hope you get it, but more so for your children. I have 5, and one on the way, I love making them happy. You have a really sharp Maverick. I have seen a few on this site that make me view the big bumper cars in a new light.
StrokerMaverick, I agree, actually I'm not all that thrilled about driving in the parade myself, it gets old really fast. However, I really think the kids would get a big kick out of it, an event they just might store away a cool childhood memory over. As far as the big bumper cars, my first car was a '76 Stallion, and to tell you the truth, I never really noticed Mavericks before then. I just thought that Stallion looked cool, as well as different, when I saw it on a used car lot. So for me the big bumpers were normal. Of course since then (and more in the last few years since I've purchased the Maverick and joined this club) I can really appreciate the small bumpers and I do like how they look, but the big bumpers still don't "bother" me like some of the other members. Also, last year I re-painted the front bumper shield with part of it being in black, kind of visually pulls the bumper back in a bit. Here is the thread on that improvement... http://mmb.maverick.to/showthread.php?t=59230
