If a person wanted to stay as original as humanly possible, what carb would i be hunting for in regards to the 4bbl 302? any help would be great, thanks Rick
No Maverick ever came with 4 barrell. I guess I would look for an Autolite 4V if I wanted it to appear original though.
If you get a carb (Autolite) from an early 390 it will be a 600 CFM unit. That will work very well with a 302
Yeah, they are high. Just use the site for reference though. Great photos and stuff. Should help you find what you need...maybe on eBay.

after a quick call to my local carb shop, they are telling me that not only did the 4300 have some major flaws, but that it would create too much vacume. anyone have a thought on that. they recomend a holley 1800.
your 4300 autolite made noise and you prefer the holley. which holley do you have. im looking for 600 cfm. as low buck as possible.
