anyone ever tryed this for a center console? i am thinking of using it with an automatic floor shifter so i can position the shifter anywhere i want. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1995...ptZMotorsQ5fCarQ5fTruckQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories
Look at the contour on the bottom, it kinda goes upward. I don't think that'll work in our cars. But if you level it off with a saw then it might fit. It's a nice console, i like it better than the pinto one i used.
so .... if you are not too busy ...... and have a screw driver...... and a camera ..... and a saw ........ umm ........ want to do a tech article? jk ...... unless you are gonna do it ....
I just remembered that manual cars have a hump where the shifter goes, so who know it might be a direct fit.
Maverick75, I scored one of those Pinto pieces a long time ago. I was working on it to getting it to fit better ... trimmed about a 1/2" off the top, and it tucked in under the dash better. It was out of the way of the glovebox door that way. I was going to use it and then stumbled upon my Versailles console. I ended up giving it to ShinySideUp. He cut the tray area out, and made a wood insert with cup holders.
ahh thank you so much! i had encountered the glovedoor problem and i was going to put it up for sale because of it! but now i can keep it i like the insert idea too, and i have some wooden cupholders already from an econoline that i can trim to fit thank you again :Handshake
