Did some searching, but couldn't find any definite answers. Is anyone running 245 or so front tires with manual steering, still using the power gear box and a factory sized steering wheel? Just want to know if this is low speed driving friendly. I know it will be harder than power, but is it over whelming? Thanks!
The Grabber I just bought has good size front tires on it with factory manual steering, and it isn't too hard to steer a low speeds.....
I have 245/45-17 and manual steering. As long as you are rolling its not bad. Its parking and and turning from a dead stop that is pretty difficult. Im in the process of installing rack and pinion power steering now.
Dad had a truck with 295/65/15s and it was real sensitive to turning, but its going to be hard at a dead stop.
I have run 245 50 14s for a while and it is ok as long as your rolling. Dead stop is pretty tuff and I avoid it cause I imagine front end stuff stressing.
