320 or so if the valves dont hit the pistons. the 86 used flat top pistons with out valve reliefs. i think that the f cam is too much lift to work with out valve reliefs. beter check before you bend all those new valves in those new heads.

thats should be plenty of motor to run mid 12s. you have to have the rest of the car to do that. the right converter if your an auto, the right gears and traction. my old fox mustang ran 12.5s on a similar combo. my mav runs a mid to low 13. it has 320hp at the crank. its using the f cam and really well ported stock heads. the problem it has is the stall speed on the converter is 2500 and is just too low to get the car to launch.

My specs (below in signature) put down 265 to the road, approx 330 at flywheel with nice flat torque curve. Compare your specs to mine, for a decent ballpark figure. Dyno sheet here...

The peaks in the torque are electrical glitches. And 120 mph is 6000 rpm.I told dyno guy to hold on til 6500 or 7000 but he wussed out.

That is what I am looking at but closer to the 3000. Currently running stock converter, though.

i would say closer to 3000 rpm also. your going to want around 3.80 gears in the rear also. it wont be very fun on the freeway but it should do well on the drag strip and street.

I run 3.80 and they are fine on the highway. I just cruise at 60 and keep rpms in the 3000-3200 range. Just enough to keep that loose converter spinning, if I ever get one put in.

you should get 3.80 gears and a limited slip for the 8" ford rear.
