hey guys so i ended up getting lucky and won 3 edelbrock 1405 carbs on ebay (dont ask why). i got the first 1 in today and it appears to be missing some stuff. does anyone here run this model of carb and if so could you please post some pictures of the linkage on both sides so i can see what is missing and order the necessary parts to make it right. i will most likely be selling at least 1 of these after i get them all in but i dont want to sell one that doesnt have everything the way its supposed to be.
I don't have any pictures of mine, anymore. But I am sure you could go to the edelbrock site and find an exploded view. Are you missing the accellerator pump linkages? Or the linkage that activates the secondaries?
How about you post a picture of what you have, and we "might" be able to tell you what you are missing. Mine was a 1406, which is the same carb but with electric choke. So I am pretty familiar with them, unless the 1405 looks completely different, which I doubt.
well i think i figured out part of what im missing. it is the link that opens the seconary at WOT. and on the other side the link for the butterflies are there but the bracket is bent. i'll try to get pics up tomorrow.
Yep, looks like you are missing a couple parts. Here is the page for the exploded diagram of that carb. http://www.edelbrock.com/automotive_new/misc/tech_center/install/1000.shtml Click on 1405 owners manual for the exploded diagram, and 1405 installation instructions has some real pictures of the carb from various angles. Maybe when your other 2 carbs come in, one will be complete in those areas so you can see what is missing and how they hook up.
