my engine is in but its at a slight angle is that bad? the front is tilted a little upwards cuz we had to modify some mustang frame mounts
Factory engines are set up at a slight angle, the intake are also at a different angle, to level off the carburetor . Look at your carburetor flange, if it looks sorta level then your good
It doesn't have to be 100.000% level, just not at some steep angle. I've always heard 3 degrees is about what it should be maximum.
well the car itself sits way up in the front even with the weight of the V8 on the springs. i plan on having 1970 6cyl springs put on it to bring it back down to earth, it should be fine
when I first put new springs on mine it set up real high in front, looked like a 60's gasser,lol, they settled quite a bit after a couple weeks, in fact I was told to wait on front end alignment until they settled
the 3 degrees people talk about is for u joint life. you want 2 to 3 degrees angle at each u joint so the needle bearings rotate in the u joint. some manufacturers like ford and chevy use a tilt down and dodge uses a tilt to the side (engine is offset in engine bay)
