voltage regulator and alternator

can someone post a pic of there volt regulator?? i just found that one wire coming from it is just cut and i have a yellow wire from the positive side of the starter solenoid just want to make sure they go together before i wire them together. also when my car is running the alt warning light is on??

I would but I have a 1-wire alternator and don't have a regulator anymore. All I have to offer is a wiring diagram. http://1bad6t.com/Maverick/repair/chassis_electrical_05.html

 

see i have the wiring diagram and my wires are like not the same colors like someone must replaced the volt regulator and they just arent the same colors like i have a yellow wire coming from the + side of the solenoid and i think its orange coming from the regulator i think on the top most hole on the regulator.

 

ok i found where the orange wire goes now i have a thick black wire coming from my alt that then had a yellow wire coming from that just wrapped in electrical tape then goes into the volt reg and looking at the diagrams i think the yellow wire from the + on the solenoid goes to the black wire can someone make sure for me before i wire them together
