I've been searching locally for an evaporator drain tube for the A/C system in a 71 Comet.
Yes I know a piece of rubber hose will work, but, I'm looking for the kind of hose that is flattened on the end to let water pass but keep bugs and debris out.
Anyone know where I can get one?
I've been trying to find generic hoses for everything from refrigerators to GM cars. No luck.
Some people know exactly what I'm talking about, but don't have a clue where to get one.
    Can you guys help?
Perhaps a few of you has one that is still good you would like to sell???

    Let me know.

I have never seen that type of hose on a Maverick (kind of hose that is flattened on the end to let water pass but keep bugs and debris out). Mavericks had a round rubber hose, with a weird piece of metal shoved up in there to keep stuff out.

Sounds like I was looking for the wrong thing...

It sounds like I was looking for the wrong thing (probably why I couldn't find it).
Where do I get a Maverick style (hose with wierd metal thing in it) ?
    Do you have any?
    Thanks !

All the Maverick one was, was a scrap of heater hose.
