I'm going to need a little additional clearance with my new hood, I was considering a repop of the grabber hood in fiberglass, since its actually one of the cheaper styles. has anyone ever put any kind of center scoop on the grabber style hood? I was wondering if this would look too "busy."

I've seen them before, and personally, I would prefer the flat hood with a scoop. The side scoops in the grabber hood do look 'busy'. Besides, the flat hood would be cheaper, and easier to work with. Just my $.02.

I'm with Earl. I've seen several Grabber hoods with scoops and didnt care for them at all. But then, I'm not that partial to the Grabber hood anyway. Do what you like though, its your car.

I also agree with Earl. I had considered the same idea, but then I had it drawn up and it looked pretty bad. Just far too much clutter on the hood. But I do like the flat hood with a scoop.

Definitely "busy" and rather pointless...Go with a flat hood if you're going to use the center scoop...

I like the grabberhoods more than the flat hoods but not with another scoop that just looks cheasy I`d rather have a flat one over that IMO.

Same here...I would never put a scoop on a Grabber hood. I've seen one and didn't care for it at all.

He said it already had a hole in it...so it wasn't "perfectly good".;)

I knew some guys who did cut a hole in a perfectly good Grabber hood for their tunnel-ram to stick through, and I'm still pi$$ed about it.

Ok, so maybe it wasn't a "perfectly" good grabber hood, but I'm just soooooo not a fan of huge scoops. And that's my .02....So there :p
