Floor Shifter

    Sorry if this has been tossed around......I have a 72 -302 with a C4 that somebody put a Hurst Pro Matic 2 in.....Trying to get it adjusted is driving me nuts,,,,,Any help,,,, or should I try to find another floor shifter,, and if so, which one will be the easiest to install??,,,,,Not looking for "high"" perfomance but not looking for stirctly stock either. Any help is appreciated!

    It is a little tricky to adjust. with the wheels blocked, disconnect the cable from the trans and put the trans arm down to 1st gear and the shifter to 1st gear, adjust the little piece that attaches to the trans arm to line up with the hole on the bracket.
    Then move the arm to 2nd gear as whell as the shifter and line it up then again. Its going to take a while so have some patience. It will eventually work out right.

    Thanks...I've tried that a few times already.....Feel like I'm beatin' my head against a wall. It shouldn't be as difficult as it's turning out to be.

    IT takes a little time, ive dont it 3 times since ive had mine (about 4 months)
