Last spring I noticed the trans was slipping. So i thought i would tighten up the intermedate band. Well I over tightend the band and broke it. For a quick fix I stole the band from older, higher mileage C4 I have. After swapping the bands, and reinstalling the trans, I needed to turn the engine to replace the last two bolts on the flywheel/ touqre converter, and nothing turns. I removerd the sparkplugs, still nothing. I even tryed to roll the engine over with the starter, still nothing. Aside from removing the whole trans, can anyone suggest what mite be the cause. Thanks.

It sounds like you didn't get the torque converter seated all the way. You should have felt it click back two more times while slowly rotating it, after initially sticking it back on the trans. You'll need to pull the trans back out, and keep your fingers crossed it didn't ruin the pump on the front of the trans.

The pressure of pulling the transmission and engine together will most often break the pump gears. Pull it apart to be sure.
