so i went and picked up a 200 dollar 1970 parts car today. had to pull the rear end out from under the comet and use some spare disc break spindals so i could put tires on it and tow it home. the car had been sitting in the same spot with out a front windshield and drivers side window for more then 30 years. the last time the car was licenced was in 77. it shows only 54000 miles on it. which i can belive because other than the floor boards the other sheet metal is in great shape. i'm pretty excited i couldn't sleep last night because of it so i'm way tired right now but thats ok. oh and the best thing is that it is the same yellow color as my comet.

    (y) Bart it's good to see your still lurking around do you think you'll get your Comet out to some car shows this year? I’ve seen there’s a few Utahan’s on this site with Mavericks and Comets but I never see them at shows or on the road. I may just put my Maverick up for sale or partial trade for a Mustang II or V-8 Pinto, especially with this influx of new Mustangs, Challengers, Chargers and Cameros.

yeah i'm still lurking around here. just don't post as much as i should i tend to take a look at this site like twice a day. i really doubt i'll have the comet up and running before the summer getting ready to do a complete tear down to fix the rust and get it painted. this car i just picked up i got from a guy that lived up in your neck of the woods. it was sitting up in roy and i have been watching it on ksl classifieds for around a month.

Some good parts on that car, the front bumper look pretty straight. The pieces that are at the bottom of the vinyl top (on the quarter panel) are hard to come by, in good condition.
