front windshield trim

    is there an easier way then using the stock clips??? i cant seem to get them on and to snap in in the process ive bent up 2 pieces is there like a molding trim tape i can use ??

    Dont know if this will help or not.
    The Ford factory clips work very well. Assuming the trim and clips are in good shape. Trim snaps in with a gentle tap of the hand.
    The aftermarket clips are junk.

    I had the same problem, the trick for the sides is to only use the top and bottom clip and use some 3M 08509 windshield glue.

    i saw where someone tied loops of fishline around each clip. this way can could pull the clip out and put the trim down into it. then you just cut the loops and pull them out.

    The mav is gone but i'm still here!
    Its a good thing i saved mine, plus i got some from a comet at the junkyard.

    Does anyone know a good way to remove the black goop from these?

    yea i looked in my parts car and found enough to do the front windsheild ( have one about ever other one in the pins) and i used brake clean to get the sealer off the clips worked great thanks guys it looks good now just waiting on my new radiator then im starting her up :)

    That would be me. One of my better ideas. Most dont work out that well.LOL.
