Well I got the vintage Pioneer super tuner in and working this afternoon. Took some getting used to having tunes in the Mav. Also got the cup holder mounted to the shifter courtesy of a 2010 minivan. Cut the side and heated and bent the plastic to hook shapes to go under the shifter bezel. Looking at the pics I think I'll move the cupholder toward the seat flush with the back of the bezel. Moved the tach to the column and installed the extinguisher. Pics also here of the black out stripe put on the rear yesterday. Dont mind the dirty carpet thats this weekend. Yes I could use a nice factory sport wheel but for now its better than the 3 spoke chrome that burnt up the wiring. The factory wheel looks a bit odd to me now with the tach on the column. Would like a smaller tach for the column. Maybe with a built in shift light.
Thanks. Looking at those pics I need to get that trunk lid down a bit more. The latch is all the way to the bottom of its adjustment though. Just add it to the list I guess.LOL.
Darren Do you know the depth you had for the speakers in your kickpanels ? I like to install some but wonder what I can use. Thanks Rick
Just cant bring myself to cut the trunk lid for it. Should have done it before we painted it. Might get bored of it in the future and put one on. Who knows.
The speakers were already there and someone took a hammer to the kick panel steel to clearance them. I know you can get slim fit speakers I was looking at them on line.
The factory wheel looks a bit odd to me now with the tach on the column. Hey Darren correct me if im wrong but i think thats a newer wheel on your car.My 72 has this wheel on it.
Damn your good.LOL. Yes your right its a later wheel. I got it for 20 bucks in real good shape. I put this one on after the aftermarket three spoke damn near set the car on fire.
