Been thinking about putting a new one on my car. It's the only thing on the car I've never touched, I'm sure it's living on borrowed time at this point. Would suck to have it snap on the way to work one morning.

Lokar, the only thing you'll need to do, it reuse the clip thingy that connects the stock cable to the gas pedal arm.

That's why I carry a spare in the trunk. It's a 6 cyl cable, but would do if mine were to break....

Make sure the catch is your cable and not a weak return spring.
as i have said many a time, i broke two of the cheapy spectre brand ones and one of the lokar ones within four months. so i mated the three into a new one with full adjust-ability both under the pedal and at the carb and at the cable bracket behind the hood. so far it has held up really well for over a year, i only had an issue where one of the alan clamps did not hold the end on. i believe that is under control now with some thread locker on the alan bolt.

There are a few guys on this board that have factory used ones for sale. Mine broke at the gas pedal end and I replaced it with a nice used one from Maverick Maniac.

I think Craig Selvey has them as well.
