Does anyone know the height difference between these two seat tracks? Thanks ... Bob

I know the grabber tracks sit higher I believe. The grabber tracks have about a 2in tall piece of metal on each side

So the grabber tracks are 2 inches higher ? By the way these are the LDO's I got from you! I started to take them apart this week. Gonna get em glass beaded , painted and put them back together. I got a set of 73 Mach 1 seats that were trashed and took the bases off of them. I then fitted the tracks on them and temporarily installed them in the car so the holes would be pre drilled for when these seat eventually get installed. When I sat on them they seemed a little low so I am tring to find out how high I should modify them to get them back to stock height. Also looking for that other missing spacer as per my other post in the wanted section ....

The other seats have a 1" riser, so if yours are 2" that is only an inch taller.

Are you restoring the old seats and foam, or putting new seats on the tracks?

Hi, I don't believe my tracks have any rise to them. The seat frames on the Mach 1 seats are in good shape so I was planning on refoaming them and then getting them recovered. The one problem I see is they are not going to match the rears. Even though my rear seat is mint and looks like no one has ever sat back there I guess I'll have to recover that one also. I was thinking along the lines of vinyl with houndstooth cloth inserts. I found someone with green and black houndstooth and I was thinking that might look good in my dark green car.

The 2 tracks are completely different between the 2 types of seats. If I could get to mine I could take some pic's.

Dave, hi! Thanks for the offer but its not nessessary to take a pic. I do know what both tracks look like and I know the grabber tracks make the seats sit higher because the base of the grabber seats are not as thick as the LDO seats. What Im trying to find out is how much higher is the grabber seat track from the floor up VS the LDO track from the floor up. Just looking for some measurements of the grabber tracks from the base where they sit on the floor to the top where the seat bolts down on them. Thanks ... Bob

    Any actual measurements yet?

I'm in the middle of this nightmare right now in a 71 Comet. It had a bench seat and I'm trying to put 71-73 Mustang buckets in it. I have LDO (I think) tracks that just don't fit the holes in the floor pan. I have other tracks I can use (cut and weld) but need to know the dimensions. How high are the bottoms of the seats from the floor sheet metal? Is there a different height dimension from front mounting point to rear mounting point? Can some actually measure this other than guess at it?
I've been searching and reading for hours and can't find good solid info. Perhaps I'm searching in the wrong place........ I found info, but a lot of it is conflicting.
Please help shed some light on this mess ...
    Cheers.

I suggest posting pictures. I can't imagine Maverick bucket seat tracks not working.

    Perhaps tonight

Perhaps tonight I can post pictures. The holes in the floor are about 13 1/8" apart. The holes in the seat frame are 14" apart. Hence the floor needs new holes drilled. (Have already drilled a few playing with this.
If the track alone are installed in the car, It looks like the passenger side is lower than the drivers side.
Plus the drivers seat isn't centered behind the steering wheel if the seat is centered with the holes in the floor.
I'll see if I can take some pictures today.
    Cheers.

    Seat track pictures

    Here are some pictures.
The tracks aren't paired up as they lay on the concrete.
In the car they fit the holes.
The seat just doesn't have the same spacing.
If I'm correct, these are LDO tracks which will be to short for Mustang buckets.
The drivers side track with the seat positioning lever on it is rusted bad and won't move.
I have other seat tracks that function. But sit very low. I will need to make brackets to get them at the correct level.
My big question is exactly how high do I make them?
I need to know what the Grabber/GT bucket seat tracks actually measure.
Can someone please take accurate measurements? I really only need to know the height of the track near the rocker, I can figure out the tunnel side...
    Thanks !
