Where do I find a replacement tail/brake light socket. I can'
t get the bulbs to stay in and make contact when driving. I reset them, drive around, and they are off when I get home. AZ, advance and NAPA said they dont offer a replacement like the orig. 3 wire. Where can I order a set from or get some. Thanks. Part number would be nice, maybe just the 100 temps making them loose, did not have the problem back in Spring. Yes, I've tried several bulbs.

Are yours the plastic or metal sockets?

Good luck. I had to resort to the junkyard to get a couple for my '75 (metal ones). The parts stores were like "you mean a bulb"? I hate parts stores!

I know this is a Zombie thread.... but I need the 1157 bulb holder for my 72 comet brake/turn signal lights. I've been to all the autopart stores, and they show a two wire snap in socket and I need a THREE WIRE TWIST in....they just don't give a f**k.
How can this be so rare..... any leads??? Thanks.

    That did the trick....thanks
funny thing is I looked at that one yesterday AT Autozone, but when I put in my old bulb the bulb was really loose and wanted to fall out. the contact bumps were to worn, making the bulb to short to stay in the socket.
So.....hearing your recomendation, I went back (going there anyway for a new starter for my '75 E-250 Van and tried the socket again with a brand new bulb; it's fits well.... :)
I bought two, one for a spare. F'ing Communist Red Chinese Dorman though.... i hate putting foreign crap on my U.S. iron. Whaaaaatever..
