Just saying hello. I have a 1963 comet 2 door custom. This car came with single master cylinder and all drum brakes. It now has granada front disc brakes, 7/8 inch bore dual master cylinder and granada proportioning valve. It also has frame connectors, monte carlo bar and export brace. Saving up for 302 and c4 trans. Hope to be able to run 12's or 13's eventually.

I love the older Comets/Falcons but just so you know that most folks here own a 71-77 Comet :tiphat:

Thanks for the heads-up. I know I have a lot of similarity with 70-77 mavericks in terms of front and rear suspension. I know my front brake swap procedure was probably the same as it would have been in a Maverick. I know I will find helpful information on this forum and look forward to contributing if I can.

    I agree. :yup:

In fact, I'm in the process of installing an aftermarket Mustang II crossmember, in my 70 Mavarick, that was originally designed for an early Comet. I only had to add a 1/4 inch steel spacer plate on each side of the inside frame rails to make up the difference between the 2 cars.

That's great! I wasn't sure how close our frame dimensions were between '63 and '70. Do you run this car down the drag strip or are you getting it ready to?
