Turbo charged 300 straight-6 in a mav!!!!!!

they don't make an aluminum head for the Big Block sixes.

 

You sure? I've seen a few videos on Youtbe of 300s with the Classic Inlines aluminum head on em. Let me see if I can find one.

I HAVE A 70 MAV I WOULD LIKE TO DO THE EXACT SAME THING TO.YOU HAVE OVER CAME ALL THE LENGTH AND HEIGHT PROBLEMS .IN MY YOUNGER DAYS I BLOUNDERED THROUGH QUITE A FEW PROJECTS ALL OF WHICH TURNED OUT PRETTY NICE IN THE END BUT THESE DAYS I DONT HAVE THE TIME OR MONEY TO FIX MY MISTAKES.WOULD LOVE TO PIC YOUR BRAIN POSSIBLY BY PHONE "MY DIME " THANKS FOR ANY INFO. acman, sorry it's not my car i just put pics up because I thought is was so cool!!! But i am getting ready to build a mav with 300 six!!!!!!!!!!!

 

I,ve been looking for one!! The only one out there right now is Allen Johnson's billet one, its $8k!!!!!!! and has NO water jackets!! Classic inlines has one under development shuold be done soon?? Steve Ambrose use to cut up the yates 302 heads and weld up one six head out of them!! I would like to find one of those....

 

like eric mentioned they're under development....maybe some of them are running a prototype...

HEYericglo!ACMAN BACK THANKS FOR QUICK RETURN, BUT BROKE MY HEART. THOUGHT I HAD FOUND THE MAN WITH ALL THE ANSWERS. OH WELL ON WARD & UPWARD BUT DO YOU REMEMBER ONE OF YOUR PIC'S SHOWED WHAT LOOKED LIKE AN ALUMINUM PLATE TYPE FRONT BLOCK MOTOR MOUNT IF SO CAR COULD POSSIBLY HAVE DIFFERENT FRONT SUBFRAME WITH #'S IT WAS RUNNING PROBABLY HAD TO HAVE A CAGE. THIS MIGHT BE THE CAR THAT SOMEONE POSTING UNDER "ALAN WITH" I CANT RELOCATE HIS POSTING,CAR HE DISCRIBED SOUNDED MUCH LIKE THIS ONE

 

If you look back at page 2 or 3 it looks like the car belongs to MAVERICK93!!??? It does have a front motor plate, you can see it in picture! I'm going to get rid of all the stock front end and cross members to make room and use front and mid plates..

 

Thats funny I was thinking the same thing about you who's ericglo!!??? and why does he have pics of my ride. yes it has front@mid plates. no you dont have to cut up car to make anything fit.

 

I talked to you a few years back, I think you had it for sale and e-mailed me the picture's!!! Now I want to do one with a 300 six, but use a procharger instead of turbo!!!

 

maverick93, what's the most boost you've put to it and do you have any problems with head gaskets??? Thanks

 

no we never talked I only reconized the pics as being lebanon valley. no the car has never been for sale as long as I have owned it. it was stock when I got it. sounds like someone is giving you a story

 

most boost 25. what we normaly run 20-21. head gasket (only one head) no problems yet but Im sure its comming!

 

Seeing how I've never been to lebanon valley some one emailed me the picture's and said they wanted 11 grand for the car, I guess It's a good thing I did'nt send any money to them huh!!!!!!!!!!!!
Oh ya thanks for straitening me out on the fact that a strait 6 only has ONE head GASKET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
