Welcome to the board, an option you may want to cheak out is the pertronx no points ign. It is an easy install,about the same as new pionts, little more $ than pionts but you never need to change points again, mine has been installed over 10 years, I was changeing points every year before! http://www.pertronix.com/prod/ig/ignitor/default.aspx
