    Hello

I have a 72 6 Cil. Automatic with 200 motor. Dash lights wor working fine until yesterday. We were trying to install a new Radio with CD player. It seems like the new radio was drawing too much power. After that all the lights on the dash board are not working. The head lights, signals, and stop lights are OK. I checked to see if there was a blown fuse. I install the original radio and is working fine. However no lights on the interior.

    Help please.

    Thanks

Where are the lights located on the wiring harness. Is there a relay which might get shorted.

    Thanks for replying

I checked all the fuses on fuse box and all seem fine. Can you tell me which one exactly controls the dash lights.

    Thank you

It is the smallest fuse in the box. It is on the bottom row.

Yeah, you can usually see when it's blown, but not always. Glad you figured it out...

Cool, maybe thats my problem. My dash lights also quit working a couple of days ago. I figgured it was the headlight switch going bad. I'll check the fuses tomarrow!
