hey guys. just bought a 65 comet and 67 caliente(4 door).

my million dollar question-where do you get parts to restore?? did a mustang but there's a bunch of sites and didn't know of any old mercury ones.

also the 65 has the 200cid, can you get those fast & sounding great with exhaust? what type of exhaust would u all suggest?

    thanks!

There is a subforum for the 60s comets on this site. This site mainly deals with the 70s Comets. Sorry to say it but there isn't much activity within that subforum but if you do a search, I have seen a link to a big community for the 60s Comets. Just do a search on it or do a search on Google.

As for the Six banger, go to www.fordsix.com for all your Six questions. It's full of great guys and gals who will help you out with everything you need.

Changing the exhaust won't give you much power increase with the 200" six.
Like any other engine you need to increase compression, add more cam, modify the intake (all machine work), perform a good valve job and use a larger carb to get noticable power increases. Ford Six has a long list of options available to increase power on the Ford sixes.
