    Here is the full conversation:
Him: all grabbers were v-8s thought you might want to know i have 3
    Me:

No very untrue. You do not know your stuff more grabbers were 6 cylinders then v8s. a V8 was not even an option in 1970. I have owned 17 mavericks and have 6 sitting in my drive way right now so you might want to do a little more research or become a member of www.mmb.maverick.to and ask them.

    Him:
ok if you want to mislead people NOT ME go ahead thought you might want to know the TRUTH but i guess thats not you

Me:The truth is known. I know the real thing and you dont im sorry that you are so ignorant you can not understand that more grabbers came with six cylinders then 302s. I gave you a link if you would like to read that through or do more research you can respond back and appoligize.

Him:lol good luck selling the maverick

I had a 66 Chevelle with a 283 that would spin the tire for days. It's amazing what happens when you have hard compound tires and don't give a hoot about the car. It was easy to get it to spin, put it in neutral, floor it and drop it in drive. I even beat a guy with a 70 LT1 Camaro with it. We staged, I mashed it, my car took of with out a squeek of the tires. He side stepped the clutch and sat and spun....I win. I guess what I'm saying is when I hear about these "mystery motors" I listen while I laugh inside.

Funny, with my Fiat, when I'd tell people it has a 302 in it, they'd be kinda ho-hum about it. But if I told them it's a Mustang 5.0, they'd light up "holy crap, in that little car!?" Man, I gotta get that thing back on the road. Nothing like blowing the doors off of a LS1 Firebird in a Fiat. :biglaugh:

You would not believe how many people have tried to tell me that no Maverick ever came with a V8 engine. I can't count the number of times someone has looked at my Maverick's 302 and asked if we replaced a 6 cyclinder with the V8. My hubby and I always calmly explain to them that the 302 they are looking at IS the stock engine. Many simply will not believe it, even after I show them the original window sticker listing the 302 as the factory installed engine. I just wave them off. What do you expect? Most of them are Chevy guys anyway. ;)

Yup, they are out there. Good thing is that stupid is only contagious if you let it be contagious. Life is too short ...walk away as soon as possible.

    Here's mine ...

I had a set of LDO bucket seat tracks on eBay. They were rough and only sold for $50 for the set. The guy gets them, and then accuses me of sending him two sets of mis-matched bench seat tracks.

I sent him a very long reply with links to pics of other sets of seat tracks, directed him here, told him to post it in the open, so that others could answer and verify what he had. His reply was that I was scamming him and that my buddies here would just back me up. (This was after pointing out that we have over 1000 cars represented here ... gee, didn't know I was that popular of a guy...)

A couple more long-winded replies later, this cretin is still maintaining that I sent him two mixed-up sets of nasty-looking bench seat tracks, that I was a master of deception, and that he wanted his $50 back and shipping refunded for both ways ...

I think I had $50 worth of my time involved just trying to educate this dope.

Ultimately, he gave me my first neg on eBay in over 500 transactions. Thankfully, the rambling reply he typed out made him sound like he was off his meds (like his other communications did, too). About 3 months later he was "no longer a registered user".

Definitely not fair that you can not leave neg feedback for buyers anymore. I am sure that there are more of them who deserve it than sellers, at least in my experiences.

The only solice that I can pull from all this is that I am sure that this guy's Mav is still sitting where it was, deteriorating and seat-less.

And the seller on ebay really doesn't have any rights anymore since they bought out Paypal. All a buyer has to do is file a dispute and usually they will win.
