Got the motor pulled and tore apart wednesday. having the rotating assembly balanced. should have the parts back next week. cant wait either.
ive pulled it so many times its easy. just put the prop rod farther back and you have plenty of clearence. they are c6ae or oe 289 heads. 54 cc chambers. they are big block chevy valves. cant even get paper in between them
Got the rotating assembly back today. ended up being 100 grams off on the back. ready to go now though. i cant wait to fire this thing off again.
Is it just me, or has something [like the rods] been beating on the bottom edge of the cylinder walls?
no. the cylinder walls looked that way when i tore the motor apart stock. i asked the machine shop about it when they did the machine work. said it was nothing out of the ordinary
