Then you could have problems with cam lobe wear. Check the lifter bottoms again.

How true. I had the heads on m GTO cut .060 and it threw the geometry off in the valvetrain. In the end the pushrods were too long and the rockers were not riding on the valve properly which wiped the guides out in short order.

You need this to be certain you have the correct length pushrods :yup:
I dont think you do with the head change to fulcrum style rockers.
Its a pushrod length checker...You use it to determine proper lenght and to create the proper geometry between the rocker and valve tip.
Then you give the measurment to a company that makes them...Crane/Comp cams etc... They build you the proper length rods and you get em/install em. Problem solved.

no, it has been timed by a professional:cool:

if i have the wrong length, how come every other push rod works except 2? All the lifter are the same height.

its only about 1 mm of a difference to stop the rocker from wiggling

not the push rods (unless i do have the wrong length) not the lifters (i checked them all)

Have you tried swapping the suspicious rocker to another location on the head and seeing what you have? Also the same with the pushrods?Rockers could be stretched, fulcrum could be worn out.oh...also check the pedastel heigth. If you still have the problem after swapping to a different location, more than likely you have wiped a lobe on the cam.

Also, if you using used parts, remember what I said about the pedestal or the rocker being worn?

By no way an expert but just thinking about your problem this idea popped into my head

If the heads have been reworked maybe a new valve or 2 were put in and the stem height is different on those valves which would make them shorter, if they are shorter then no amount of pushrod length is going to help you.

Even if you had a longer push rod that would tighten down the geometry of the arrangement would be wrong and rocker arm would not be centered on the valve stem. Seems to me lash caps is your best answer.
