Got my Marti-Report on my white Stallion

Regardless, if you don't NEED to sell it, I think that car is definitely a keeper. I'd be surprised if there were more then 50 white stallions left ANYwhere in running condition, or even just restoreable condition. Hell, there's only a handful of Stallions of any color around period, it seems.

My '72 has a Los Angeles DSO, and somehow made it's way to Chicago in the late 70's/early 80's and then made it's way to Philadelphia by the late 80's. By the late 90's it was in Charlotte, where it went through 4 owners from 1998-2003. Then I bought it and brought it to Atlanta in Jan. 2006, where I have since added 102,000 miles more to the 228,000 it already had when I bought it! I've got another Mav that came from Buffalo, NY, I bought it in South Carolina. They get around!

1976 - A total of 139,687 1976 Mavericks were produced.

1976 - There were 5527 total Stallions, less than 4% of total Mavericks built in 1976.

So...if 4% of the white Mavericks with buckets (284) were Stallions, that brings us down to 11.36 White Stallions with buckets.

Just based on the Stallions we have seen on this message board we have to assume that the biggest percentage of Stallions were red, yellow, and silver, with white and blue coming in last. I may be wrong but I sincerely believe that would be the correct pecking order of the colors.


I may be wrong again but I would guess at least 75% of those 284 had automatic transmissions leaving 71 white Mavericks with buckets and standard shift lowering the number to 2.84 (4% OF 71) white Stallions with buckets and standard transmission...and then how many are actually left???

Some of the Stallions came with the aluminum slots but I would think most of them had the power steering.

Dang...the more I think about it the more I think I need to call Marti back and get the upgrade to the Elite report. I think it would give all that extra info.

Yes....I would agree. I bet the number is way less than 10%.

The 284 on the report is NOT just Stallions. It is ALL white Mavericks with bucket seats as you stated earlier. I would bet a majority of the Stallions were bench seat cars. It seems thought that the bucket seat cars are the ones that have survived longer. Maybe because the bench seat cars were more commuter cars and got used and abused.


Yes......you need the elite report...and it would break it down to how many had the white paint, buckets, 3-speed, 8 track, etc. I would specifically tell Kevin that you want to know EXACTLY how many Stallions were white...bucket seats or bench....just how many Stallions were white.

 

So are they rarer than Sprints??

 

Who knows? If I had the extra cash I'd pay for the elite report for both and maybe find out.

 

Keep the car. You'll regret selling it.

 

yup, Sprints had over 15k produced (roughly).... while there were only 5k+ Stallions built

 

Craig, after doing some more thinking I revised post #32. Read it again and tell me if you think I'm looking at it correctly.

they will tell you..but they'll have to charge.....

I can't believe it took so long to get your deluxe report from Marti. Mine only took a week, and they emailed me a copy of it within 24 hours for an additional charge of $3. I thought you were getting an elite report to begin with because they usually do take a little longer.

Although I am not a big fan of the big bumper cars, I do like the Stallion. Perhaps you might want to consider selling one of your Grabbers and keep it, since it completes what I would consider the trifecta of Mavericks, a small bumper Grabber, a Sprint, and a Stallion. Don't you remember the attention that red/black stallion received at the Silver Springs show? And it was a 6 cyl/bench seat one, unlike your bucket seat/302 one! Keep it and sell something else to finance your building if possible.

This weekend my father made a gift to himself... he upgraded his deluxe report to an Elite report. I will keep you updated on the infos that we will have, but all i can say is: Keep your Stallion
