    Yes, unless you or someone else made some mods and put a 300 in it is likely a 250 engine. The 250 is the largest 6 cyl ever used in a maverick. As stated, the 300 is a truck motor and is nothing like the car engines.

    ah rules. those tend to get me in trouble. i will post some as soon as i can. the comet i drove last in 2000 when the center link went out. i was told its a 300/6 out of a early 80's ford truck? it had been sitting at the farm.
