Thinking about looking at this Grabber for a starter/parts/whatever. My car isn't close to look inside but what do you think is the reason for the holes shown at the bottom of each shock tower?
Picture wont blow up for me but I'm gueesing you mean the grease holes. Some guys used to hack holes in the towers to grease the arms.
Those holes let the horsepower out!!! But like everyone has said, they are to grease the control arms...
It would have been nice if, whoever made the grease fitting holes would have used a hold saw instead of a torch. Then you could have put some rubber plugs in the holes for a better look.
I would have thought so too. I ran into that problem in 74 with my Maverick and they sold the 90degree adapter fittings then as well.
Yep, that's where it is. I'm hoping to hear back from the seller to go out and take a look. I'm almost hoping he's not real "motivated" to sell cause I don't have room for another project right now. All depends on the $$$$$$$$$.
I have looked at this car in person. I made the drive to Arkansas to see it last fall sometime, but didn't buy it. It needs some work, but is for sure a buildable car. Hope you get it!!
