how would you get water in your tranny? are you sure its not red?

edit: did a quick search and it says that it may be that your radiator is bad and antifreeze is leaking into the tranny lines.

Yes that's what he said!!! Plus my dipstick isn't on right so I constanly leak tranny fluid:/ That my radiator was pretty much done and its mixing with the radiator fluid, but thank goodness I just bought a 3-core from a fellow mav owner:) I was gonna wait to put it on when I got my electric fans but ill put it in already, how should I go by flushing out the tranny?? He told me that theylll do it for 35 dollars but is there another way I can go by on doin this?

huh, from the bottom or the top of the dipstick? my dipstick tube isnt covered at the top and im not leaking there? Ss for flushing the trans, i would just empty the whole thing (trans and torque converter) put a new filter/gasket, fluid, and some zmax type stuff.

From the bottom of it,and I'm pretty sure its the gasket too, and so does that mean that I have to take out my tranny then??

its best to flush it out with a machine. the one we use at work u empty it for how much fluid it will require for the flush.. fill the machine.. then disconnect an line either at trans or rad/cooler hook one hose to the trans side...one to the cooler side.. then whatever lever position the frt pump is pumping in u leave it there and set the ebrake and it exchanges all the fluid through the machine...thats the only real way to change it in the converter unless it has a drain plug

Agreed. Flush it really well and you might save it. Glycol and trans components dont jive very well.

very true. i work in hydraulics and when water glycol and hydraulic fluid mix it makes a mess. they tend not to want to seperate or very slowly seperate. the oil turns this milky color because the water glycol is suspended in the oil. the fluid in your trans is basicaly hydraulic oil with some different additives. so definatly flush that trans as soon as you can.

You need to at least flush those lines.

c4 torque conveters usually have a drain plug. you just need to remove the inspection cover then rotate the crankshaft till you see the plug. it will be next to one of the studs. you can pull that plug and that it will drain most of the fluid out of the converter.
