Do you have over heating problems due to the water port being blocked in the back? should i get a special intake gasket for this?

I don't recall one being blocked. Do you have it put on correctly?

I have no problem with my Torker.
Here is the water port, or lack of water port in this case, in question.

No...I used Mr. Gasket. Flepro didn't have the exhaust block-off plates to plug the exhaust cross-over port under the carburetor.

Here is the instruction sheet that came with my Torker. (...click image 3 times)

I made dowel pins from all-thread to help align the bolts. This will ensure the gasket does not move when installing the intake. Notice I haven't installed the block-off plates yet

Justin if your refering to the water crossover passage at the rear don't worry about it the factory cast iron intakes were blocked also. Use felpro MS 90103 intake gasket they have smaller port openings designed for 289 and early 302 heads. I'm pretty sure the torker 289 also has the smaller dimensions than the later aftermarket intakes designed for the 5.0's .

Felpro 90103's do not have the exhaust port block-off plates.
