They were in storage in a rented garage while my house was renovated. First time on the road since the begining of July. Started and ran great. Well the mav did anyway. That big block mopar gets cranky when you don't run it regularly. Once started and warmed up it ran good too. Some old gas in them. Probably over a year old but they are both on empty. I will give them a full tank of fresh 93 with octane booster and stabilizer. Should be fine. Any suggestions? Maybe I should run a carb cleaner additive with a few gallons before filling the tank with stabilized fuel? Not that it smelled bad or ran bad...
...... It's up to you how you want to handle it. I would just do the 93 and stabilizer. BUT, the idea of a few gallons with cleaner sounds good too. Just got to mix it right.
I'd just do about 10 gallons in each, along with some stabilizer, and run them for about 10-15 minutes. Then in the spring, when they come out, pour a bottle of carb cleaner in each, then top off both tanks.
Just give them some good gas. Shell actually does a good job with cleaning agents and stabilizing. That's all I put in my motorcycle. The little CV carbs will throw a huge fit if gas dries out in them and leaves an alcohol residue. Anyway, I don't think you'll need to put any cleaner in there, but it's up to you.
OK, ok... Before I had no room to work in there. Now I am gonna have to find a new excuse for not getting anything done cause there is plenty of room now. Here's a couple of shots:
