How rare are 3 speed floor shifting 71 mavericks?

    How rare are 3 speed floor shifting 71 mavericks? Mine happends to be a 200ci 6cly.

    Don't know what production volume there was but the trans had a manual valve body , no kick down and no vacuum modulator.
    They are called a C4S

    opps...I should have been more clear. I was refering to a Manual Transmission.--Sorry.

    All manual cars a 3 speeds...no 4 speed cars. Nice to have it on the floor it seams like most 6cyl cars are 3 on the tree

    Yes it is nice to have on the floor. I wondering if my Dad moved the shifter from the column to the floor. If he did, he did a nice job, I could never tell. Anyway to check this?--Dan

    look on the end of the steering column and see if it has hook ups for the shift linkages.the shift collar on the steering column may still have the shifter boss...frank...(y)

    Just an update:

    I found out from my Mom (original owner) that my Maverick Grabber was an original bench seat, three on the tree car. But, boy you'd never know now--Dan.
