    Do the strut rod diameters vary from year to year? I picked up rebuild kits (bushings, sleeves, etc) to do my 75. The bolt on the 75 strut takes a 1 inch socket, its probably 1/2 - 5/8 diameter. New nut in kit is for a much smaller diameter. Plus it's a castle nut and the one on the car isn't?

    Help.

    Rich, there should be two of those. they are for the two bolts that hold the strut rod to the lower control arm. you'll have to reuse the locknut you already have.

    Strut rod

    Ray;
    Thanks for reply. It's the other end of the strut rod (going into the chassis) that I was questioning. The rebuild parts I have look a lot smaller. Will check at NAPA to make sure we ordered the right parts.
