You will also need a shortened drive shaft and a Lokar or factory ford TV cable set up.

My driveshaft from my C4 fit just fine with no modifications, as have allot of other people, but there are a few people that have had to shorten theirs. I did use franks AOD crosmember, it works great and it is high quality.:dancing: As for the factory floor shift, the shift pattern is different between the C4 and the AOD, you can modify the C4 to work, I had to drill the hole further up on the shaft about 1/2" and bend the rod to fit,(I got the drilling it up off of one of the mustang sites that used the same floor shifters). I tried setting it up with a stock TV cable from Ford, and then the stock mechanical linkage from a early 80's ford pickup truck (it would probably have worked if I was retaining the Autolite 2100) but in the end I bought a Lokar TV cable and adaptor that fits on my carb.:thumbs2:
