The best way to is to lay the roll down on the floor on its end and with a helper un-roll the coil using the floor to keep it straight. It should roll out really nice hope this helps.

Is it 3/8 or 5/16 ? 3/8 is pretty tough to bend. Be very careful not to kink it. Advance Auto sells pipe benders for bending it to angles.

About 10 years ago i needed to replace my gas line, now the line that i bought was already straight so i can't help you there with unbending it straight. When it came time to bend it into the shape and bends you need i tried using a tube bender which i found to be a pain in the a$$. So i took the old gas line and the new gas line and placed the two together on the floor starting at one end. When i got to the first bend i used my fingers to bend it (gently) then taped it in place with some good strong tape. I then moved onto the next bend, used my fingered again and taped it in place again. I did all the bends like this till it was all done and the two pieces were stuck together with all the exact same bends. After i cut the tape off and installed on my Comet. The old rusty original line is now in my garages rafters if i need to have an original to copy again. This took me only minutes to do.:D

Unroll the amount you need, place it on the shop floor, and then take a piece of wood and place it on top of the line. "Roll" the wood back and forth over the line and it will help to straighten it out for use...seriously, it will work.

    Later...
