just a few updates. Ive had my 5.0 junkyard shortblock ready to go for a while now.....or so i thought!! hold that thought THANK God for craigslist.... am i right i have gotten so many deals on stuff people just dont want anymore! i just got a moroso 8 qt deep sump oil pan with the pickup for 50 bucks.... this thing was brand new only bolted on a motor that the guy had on a stand. never even had oil in it! i get it on my 5.0 and went to stab my converter to my c4 only to find out my input shaft wouldnt turn and the shift lever locked up... back to the craigslist search... got a built c4 with manual valvebody and a hayes stall converter for 400 bucks!! should go great with my b&m pro bandit i scored a few months back! got the c4 stabbed on the 5.0, turned the crank over to get the converter nuts on only to find out that something was stuck at about 3 o'clock.. pulled the pan off. #2 rod bolt touching my windage tray. fixed that, got pan back on, and got all the converter nuts on. Put on my mini starter on. And then went to get my heads. once again to catch another snag. one of my e7 heads rusted to an intake valve so bad that they werent worth using. BACK TO CRAIGSLIST bought me a set of 93 cobra gt40 heads for 250!!! score!!! so now the heads are getting put on today and we'll go from there.
