We are looking to put our house up for sale in the next month or so, and my attic is full of Maverick and Comet parts. I am not moving it all from one attic to the next.

I want to post them up for sale on the forum, but forum rules state that they all have to have prices.

I have no idea how to put a price on this stuff.

Any suggestions on how to get a ballpark price before I post it all?

just put "0" as the price then ask people for best offers...most of the regular users should give you a fair and reasonable price...if you think the price is too low then you counter-offer with them

Thats what I would do anyways.

by the rules i don't think you can put a "0"...by putting "0" for a price then if someone said..."i'll take it"...then you start talking price...that wouldn't be right...:tiphat:

what would be wrong with putting a price of what you want for it...no buyers then mark it down...:Handshake

Just box 'em up and send them to me. I'll go through 'em, assign prices to the Maverick parts and dispose of all the Comet parts for you... :D

Seriously, I would make a list and get in touch with the regular sellers on here and see if they'll help you out with pricing. It's worth a shot.

    Which Dave?

I have lots of stuff I have acquired over the years, much of it free or from junkyards, so I am not trying to rip anyone off. But I also don't want to just give it all away if I can make a couple bucks and pay my credit card back after the holiday...:D

Some of it is really in good condition, and I don't want to just toss it.

And then I have 2 decent grills, now that I have a billet one, etc.

I may be giving a couple of you guys some pms with pics and maybe get an idea on some prices.

I am not a salesman, and I HATE selling, shipping, dealing, and all of that. But I also don't want to be taken advantage of and ripped off of good parts. So I want to post decently fair prices up front that may be be a fair deal for me and the buyers.

Search completed listings on Ebay, see what stuff actually sold for, and you'll have a pretty good idea of what's reasonable.

use the advanced search here on the forum. type in the part name, then choose the "Maverick/Comet Parts for Sale" Section only. shouldn't take long that way

Mostly comet crap. I should just put it in the trash, and forget about it.

A 5.0 fuel injection setup with injector and fuel rail. NICE looking comet taillights. Lots of chrome, especially for front windshields. A deep sump oil pan that most likely won't fit our cars. a couple of mav grills with emblems. a NOS still in box front valence, but I think i may keep that. Some lights, timing chain and gears, a distributor (which I SHOULD use myself), stuff like that.

That is against the classified rules and would result in an infraction

Post the highest price you think something would be worth in the title...then put the guessed prices next to the item with a "negotiable" next to it...just at the bottom specify the items can be a "best offer" type deal

If youre not out to make a big profit then just set everything at 10-20 bucks a piece + shipping
