Rear disk brakes on 71 Maverick

    Has anyone converted to rear disk brakes? If so, what was used for this setup?

    I am not completely sure. I do know it uses the e brake in the calipers.

    Here is another place to look for options. They like to use common off the shelf items for their conversions and they are the ones I plan to use when the time comes.

    If their rear disc kit is like their front disc kit I wouldn't touch it with a 10 foot pole

    WOW that scarebird kit is scarey:16suspect the brackets look real thin to me
    i dont think i will trust my car and life on those J.M.O.

    im running the vintage venom kit(y)

    go here.http://mmb.maverick.to/showthread.php?t=62914 Grab a cup of coffee,kick back and enjoy an excellent thread.They are cheap,plentiful,replacement parts aval.at any parts store,and very easy to do.IMO just as durable as any aftermarket kit.I've personally done the swap,and it works excellent!(y)

    a Guy gave me a complete 8.8 that the rear gear was busted in...it had all the parts to do a swap...:yup:
    deals like that is why i didn't buy...aftermarket brackets...($200) and then have to buy all the other parts to make them work...:Handshake
