You dont need encouragement when you have $30,000 to blow.

But I agree, he could be fixing up a ricer, but then he'd be like nearly everyone else on the road, he'll have something unique, american, and can outrun the ricers in :bananaman

Looks like a good project!! You already have a driver right? So you can take your time with this one and do it right. Go find yourself a 76 4 door for parts and you've got it made! To bad your on the East Coast. I have a VERY nice set of 76 fenders. My son is 15 also and he has my 69 1/2. We have done a TON of work to it together. He turns 16 in Feb and can't wait to drive it daily. I even offered him 3 different cars but he wanted THAT one! My oldest is 19 and has the 73 and couldnt care less about it. He has NEVER lifted a finger to help me with it. So you roll up your sleeves and get to work and prove these nay sayers wrong! A sow CAN be turned into a silk purse whith some drive and determination! How many other kids in your school have one???? Riiiigghhtt.............

    Keep the pics coming too!!

I've got some nice, rust free '76 fenders if you need them. Only thing is, someone welded up the side marker light holes, but they can be fixed (or you could just delete them off the back of the car as well). I also have some nice '76 doors.

I don't see a problem with what he is doing. When I first joined here I would buy all the cheap mavericks I could find too. For me it turned out to be a lot of work for a little money but if it keeps him out of trouble who cares that he likes to bring home junker mavericks

The only progress i have made so far is i ordered the decals off ebay just to have them when i need them because i know when i need them they wont be making them anymore. Trying to figure how to get it off the trailer and in the garage im going after a 70 parts car tommorrow for the quarter panels and floors.

I'd kill for a stallion. I wouldn't let that one go kid. Anyone know what special numbers were in stallion mavericks? like 93 in grabbers..
