who can identify this part?

    I was taking wiring harnesses out of the dash today when this fell out, what is it?

    and perhaps someone knows where this blue/white wire goes under the dash?

    This is probably wrong, but it looks like a turn single cam ( or soemthing like that)

    I know exactly what that is...it is the internal part of the vacuum switch for the heater/AC. Those boxed in areas will turn on and turn off vacuum to different vacuum motors to open and close the doors in the system depending on where you have it set...

    Also..the blue with the white stripe is likely for your cigarette lighter....even if your car came with the lighter deleted, the wire will still be there.

    MavMark is correct and because you can see the rubber side, that means the switch is broken and you need a new one if you want your ac / heater to work,

    Thanks for the help guys! I was looking all over in my shop manuals trying to figure it out. Anybody got one of those switches they want to sell?
