You also need a std trans block plate and pilot bushing/bearing for the crankshaft.

Or mechanical linkage if you use an old style bellhousing and adapter plate. Drive shaft may or may not need to be shortened, depending on what rear you have.

what i have is a tremec 3550 5 spd trans. for the swap so far. as far as the cable goes i was looking at mustang steves cable kit but dont know which on i would need one for a 65/66 or the 67/68 one. has anyone else running his stuff or is there another way to do this without a kit from him

I believe the hydraulic kit is another option

Hydraulic is the best option, IMO. The cable runs way too close to the headers.

I'm still trying to figure that out to. Apparently there is a company called CNC that has the hydraulic kit. But if you look online you'll find a lot of other "made-to-fit" hydraulic systems and kits.

i tried using the mustang cable with little results. i ended up "making a cable work" that i found at the local parts house.

if you go cable, you can fab up something yourself or some other members have used the kit from Mustang Steve and they say it works pretty good
