I have a factory 302 '74 with power steering I want to switch to manual. Will the 75-77 manual center link and pitman arm bolt up to my existing setup? Will my idler arm work? What else would I need besides the 2 parts mentioned above if any? - Jamie

that should do the trick. you may want to replace the idler arm or its bushing while your there and have it appart.

you may need to change the idler arm depending on what style you have.I ran into this problem awhile back. the new center link will have a stud for the idler arm, but mine had a stud on the idler arm. I ordered a idler arm from carquest an they had the correct idler for the new center link.

I just came in from the garage.. I did the swap and it wasn't too bad.. The only thing that didn't work out for me was the pitman arm was already attached to the center link, and I had to remove it, then put it on the box, before I hooked it up to the center link.. Make sure your steering wheel is strait.. and turn your steering box all the way left or right, then count the turns mine was 5.50.. turned it back 2.75 Hooked it all up and works good.... DON'T use the pickle fork thing on anything.... pb blast the tie rods and pitman arm then loosen the castle nut's and smack the center link to separate it.....

yes they we're used I bought them from a member. any mav or comet with manual steering is a donor.post a parts wanted tread or contact mean maverick or mavahaulic they might have one. I put a manual box in to but you can use your power box. my 74 has the power box with manual center link..
