hmmm, interesting. I talked to them just now and the dude was saying that mounting it in the trunk would cause problems because of heat issues. So they said it needs direct circulation. I do have the battery tray area now open since I moved the battery, and even though I might still mount a "suggestion box" there, I suppose I could put the MSD box in the battery area instead. So no way to mount the MSD in the trunk and slap a fan on it or something (not that I have had the best of luck with fans but a computer fan or something?)
Gene why do you make things soooooo complicated. I can't just move my suggestion box, I've been planning its location for months. But seriously, I'm doubting that the battery tray area will be that much cooler than my trunk, any thoughts on that? I see people all over the web installing them in the trunk, under the seats, on the firewall in the cabin etc.
if you dont want to look at it there is behind the headlight.. here's the fan you can use: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835200048
mashori, ive seen a few mounted in the battery tray area and it will get alot more air than in a closed up trunk. more so when your going down the road and when your fan kicks on.
