Hey fellas, I've found 76 Comet for parts, I don't know the condition of the car yet, but I saw somewhere that starting in 1976, disc brakes were standard,is that correct? If it is, are there any roadblocks to swapping them to my 70? It was originally a six cylinder, I'm wondering if they're power disc.:)

should work no problems just use the related parts like lines and master cylinder and prop valve to do it right

you will also have to use the rubber line that goes to the caliper from the 76. It is an easy swap to do. If it has a booster it is power disc

All the parts on my 70 were from a 76. I used all the steel lines from the master cylinder to the prop valve on down to the brake hoses from the 76. My parts car had power also but went with manual disc. You will need the 76 outer tie rod ends also I believe.
