I dont keep up with the Comets here...Im creating a statistics table for the VIN Registry, Ill be tracking all the types of cars that came out(Grabbers, Sprints, Stallions, etc...)

what are all the types of comets that came out....just GT's?

Yes just GTs but there were also dealer ad ons like the bearcat and stabber. Also the GT can only be told by the marti report.

Thanks for the info...is there any other Mavericks or Comets that can only be determined by a Marti Report (1970 Grabbers can only be verified by that right?)

Yes 70 grabbers. Sprints. Stallions. But you can tell a sprint by the trim code RB.

I thought there was an LDO option for the Comet? And what about the Regular Comets, 2 door and four door?

2 Doors and 4 Doors wont be tracked separately since there was so many produced...however I am curious about the LDO option...how rare is it? If its just an option then I wont track it, if its a package I will. :D

Stabber....like Frankie mentioned but it's a dealer added thing and it wont show up on a Marti, same deal with the Bearcat

LDO is a package that was optional on any Maverick/Comet, both 2dr and 4dr models starting in '72

Ok, so I bought a domain name and hosting space...unlimited bandwidth, storage, emails, and unlimited domain hosting for $92/year...Ill be working on getting this put together into an official website.

If you guys can talk to Stefan on creating a Registry sub-forum somewhere on here and making me a mod of it it would really help me out as I can ask questions and organize things as needed to put it all on the site...and yes, any information given will receive due credit.

Planning on having a mini-profile on every running car, with VIN decoded, body tag decoded, owners name, optional owner bio, and known history of each car, will have 1 picture of the car and optional picture of owner...more details to come

The website is "mc-registry.com", its empty right now though...

I don't have a Marti report for either of my GTs yet as I'm waiting until both of them are home before I order them, but I can send you the info on the Green GT if you want it. I'm sure if you bribe David good enough, he'll get you the info off of my Red GT too... :D

Once I get the Marti Reports, I'll send 'em to you.

Youve already established yourself here as a trustworthy member, so I believe you, no need for a MR :yup:

I am wondering though, in the database, should I provide a link to the marti report for cars thats been verified? Or does that have information on it some would like to keep private? whats your suggestions on it?

My Marti report is fully available to you..also the Stabber was available through only one dealership as far as I Know and that was Pugmire Lincoln Mercury, and I think the Bearcat was several dealerships around the country but not sure.
